COVID-19 Guidance for LEW Rides

The Lake Erie Wheelers have resumed all rides for the 2021 riding season.

Each ride may break into multiple smaller groups with staggered starts depending on how many show. Please print and bring your own cue sheet as we will NOT be handing these out, and/or bring a GPS device in case you separate from the group and need to navigate on your own. Cue sheets and Ride with GPS links for weekly rides are sent to members via email. If you're not receiving these emails, please consider joining our club under the "Join" tab above.

Due to COVID we are taking some new precautions - Here's what we as a club think is really important:

  • Maintain social distance while in the start point parking lot and at rest stops.
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer in case you need it.
  • Use a face covering in the parking lot and at rest stops, this is a requirement.
  • Allow minimum 20 ft spacing while riding.
  • At traffic stops, no more than 2 abreast and use the full lane to maintain distancing and allow 6 feet between successive riders.
  • Groups of 5-8 people who want to ride at similar speeds are encouraged to form up at the beginning of each ride and stagger their starts. Each group is responsible for its own navigation, so have your cue sheet/GPS device ready.
Your cooperation is appreciated as we all want to enjoy our club rides in a safe way. We can only do so if everyone does their part.
